First Lady Michelle ObamaIn a campaign video released Thursday, First Lady Michelle Obama voiced with no hesitation that the United States of America will have a female president, reports Politico.com.

“Like I tell my daughters, women and girls can do whatever they want,” Obama said. “There’s no limit to what we as women can accomplish.”

“I have no doubt that we will see a woman in the Oval Office very soon,” she said in a Q & A video released by the reelection campaign.

Obama also pleaded with women and girls to stay involved and informed in the political conversation.

“We’ve got to encourage more women to become part of the political process,” Obama said. “As women, we need to keep ourselves informed about everything that is going on around us.”

“We need to encourage more of them to run for office,” Obama said.

Still, Obama herself is not interested in a political gig. She said on ABC’s “The View” this week that she would “absolutely not” run for the U.S. Senate or any other office after her time as first lady is up.

President Barack Obama was embroiled in a bitter primary in 2008 with former first lady and senator from New York, Hillary Rodham Clinton. After losing the contentious battle, Obama appointed her to be his secretary of state. Many people felt — and still feel that she will be the first female president of the United States and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has already voiced her support.

“I don’t think this ticket  [2012] is going to change. I think the president and vice president have worked very well together. Joe Biden is a great guy, enjoys his own popularity in the country. I dont think that’s going to happen. I do think, though, the secretary should entertain the thought of running in 2016.”

Time will tell, but as the first lady and her BFF Beyonce have shown, girls really do run the world — a Madam President is inevitable.
