    Vote Tuesday November 6

The millage Detroit and Wayne County residents passed in 2008 to allow for financial stability for the College has not been realized. The economic downturn, thousands of foreclosures and high unemployment in Wayne County has caused WCCCD to lose more than $30 million in funding over the last four years. In order to make up what we have lost and to continue our work at a level that makes a difference, we need to pass an additional 1 mill property tax to be applied over the next ten years.

Without the passage of this millage, the future of WCCCD is in great jeopardy. We will have to close campuses, limit programs, cap enrollment and stop all of our community outreach programming. We have been responsible stewards in our fiscal management and will continue to be open, transparent and accountable in all of our transactions.

We are committed to continue to dedicate all of our energy and resources to the betterment of the people we serve in our district, region and state. We need your help and support.

Please vote for WCCCD on November 6.
