    24-HOUR MAJOR CRIME SUMMARY REPORT

    NOTE: Each of the following summaries are allegations of incidents that have been reported and are under investigation.  

     

    November 12, 2012 – 6:01 a.m. to November 13, 2012 – 6:00 a.m.

    Monday, 11/12/12 – 6:00 a.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCE:

    In the 20100 block of Mitchell, the male victim, aged 48, was inside his dwelling when the suspect forced entry into the residence.  The victim produced a weapon and fired shots, striking the suspect.  The suspect received gunshot wounds and was listed in stable condition.  The victim was not injured.

     

    ARRESTED:

    Suspect:  Black male.

    Monday, 11/12/12 –1:10 p.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    In the 19900 block of Telegraph, the female victim, aged 60, was placing bags into her parked vehicle, when a car (Dodge Stratus) drove up.  Suspect #1 reached out of the car’s window and pulled the victim’s purse off her arm.  The suspects escaped in the vehicle with the victim’s personal property.  The victim was not injured.

    WANTED:

    Suspect #1:  Black male, 20’s, thin build, wearing all black (Driver).

    Suspect #2:  No information available.

    Monday, 11/12/12 – 9:40 p.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCE:

    At Glendale and John C. Lodge, the male victim, aged 20, was walking in the area when he was approached by the suspect who attempted to rob him.  The suspect fired a shot striking the victim in the body, and then fled from the location.  The victim was listed in temp-serious condition.

     

    WANTED: 
    Suspect:  Unknown person, and armed

    Monday, 11/12/12 – 10:00 p.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCE:

    At Cadiuex and Berden, the male victim, aged 17, was walking when the two suspects approached. A suspect produced a weapon and fired shots, striking the victim in the body.  He was listed in temp-serious condition.

     

    WANTED:

    Suspect #1: Black male, 20’s, 6’-0”, thin build, dark complexion, wearing a dark sweatshirt with a hood, and armed.

    Suspect #2:  Black male, 20’s, medium build, wearing a dark sweatshirt with a hood.

    Monday, 11/12/12 – 11:52 p.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCE:

    In the 15400 block of St. Marys, the male victim (13-year veteran Detroit Police Officer, off-duty) aged 41, exited his car when a sports utility vehicle, occupied with three suspects, drove up and blocked his pathway.  Suspect #1 exited the vehicle, armed, and demanded the victim’s keys.  The victim produced his weapon, and fired shots.  The suspect fled, and the other suspects escaped in the car.  The victim was not injured.

     

    Tuesday, 11/13/12, at approximately 12:30 a.m., this morning, officers received information that a black male, matching the description of the suspect involved in the aforementioned attempted carjacking, was at a local hospital being treated for a gunshot wound.  The suspect is currently listed in critical condition.

     

    ARRESTED:

    Suspect #1:  Black male, 19.

     

    WANTED:

     

    Suspects #2-#3:  Black males, 20’s.  No further information is available.
