    twelveToday, 12-12-12 is the last triple digit date of this century. And, believe it or not, there are huge plans underway on this day and many are reveling in this once-in-a-lifetime event.

    There are widespread wedding plans, major concerts, and parties, all in celebration of this auspicious day.

    So what’s so special about the number 12?

    Numerologists believe that the number 12 adds up to 3 which signifies wealth, so making any money moves today would be fortuitous.

    Mathematically, the number 12 has a perfect number of divisors and the sum of its divisors are always a perfect number. There are also 12 inches in a foot.

    Wednesday also marks a milestone for the Vatican as Pope Benedict XVI reached out for the first time ever via Twitter. The 85-year-old pontiff sent out blessings to his one million-plus Twitter fans:

Donut maker Krispy Kremes is offering customers the chance to buy a dozen donuts on this day and get another 12 free with a coupon located on their Facebook page. Pollo Tropical has a 12-12-12 meal deal for $12. Get a whole marinated chicken, large black beans and rice with rolls from 4 to 8 p.m. at participating restaurants.

    Jack in the Box (JACK) will be selling tacos at participating locations for just 12 cents each between 12:00 noon and 12:00 midnight on this day with a six taco limit. Starbucks is ending its “12 Days of Christmas” promotion on 12-12-12 and their final deal is 40% off a six-pack of their Cranberry Bliss Bars, which have a cult following. McDonald’s is selling its signature Big Mac for $1.12 to mark the special date at participating locations.
