    24-HOUR MAJOR CRIME SUMMARY REPORT

    July 4, 2013 – 6:01 a.m. to July 5, 2013 – 6:00 a.m.

    NOTE: The following summaries are allegations of incidents that have been reported and are under investigation.

    Thursday, 07/04/13   12:15 p.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    At Norfolk and Marlowe, the male victim, 29, was entering his vehicle (White – 2001 Chevy Tahoe) when he was approached by the suspect who demanded his vehicle. The suspect produced a weapon, and fired shots, strking the vctim in the body. The suspect escaped in the victimโ€?s vehicle. The victim was listed in temporary serious condition.

    WANTED:

    Suspect: Black male, 20โ€?s, black hair, dark complexion, small build, wearing black pants and a black jacket.

    Thursday, 07/04/13 – 5:00 p.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    In the 19300 block of W. Warren, the male victim, 24, was involved in a verbal altercation with a suspect who produced a weapon and fired a sho. Thr victim was struck in the body and listed in temporary serious condition.

    ARRESTED:

    Known Suspect: Black male, 25.

    Thursday, 07/04/13    10:25 p.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    At Hickory and Lappin, the male victims, ages 20, 18, and 19, along with the female victim, 18 were in a moving vehicle, when the suspect, driving a truck (Blue Chevy Suburban) disregarded a stop sign, causing a collison. The suspect escaped in the truck. The female victim was listed in critical condition. The remaining victims were listed in temporary serious condition.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    At Greenfield and Lyndon, the male victim, 22, was driving a vehicle (silver, Pontiac Grand Prix) when the suspect drove up in a car (black, Chevy Impala) and began firing shots. The victim was struck in the body, and was listed in critical condition.

    WANTED:

    Suspect: Black male; armed.

    Thursday, 07/04/13    11:55 p.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    At Stansbury and Curtis, the male victim (John Doe), 20s, was outside when he was approached by the suspect who produced a weapon and began firing shots. The victim was struck in the body, and has died.

    Suspect: Black male; armed.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    At Brush and Woodland, the male victim (John Doe), 20s, was discovered laying in the stree, deceased. The victim appeared to have been shot. The circumstances pertaining to this incident are currently unknown.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    In the 7400 block of Kipling, the male victim, 30, was involved in a verbal altercation with two suspects. The suspects produced weapons. The victim received a gunshot wound and was listed in temporary serious condition.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    In the 14200 block of Young, the male victim, 27, was walking in the area when he was approached by the suspects who announced a robbery. One suspect produced a weapon and began firing shots. The victim was struck in the body and listed in critical condition.

    Suspect: Two Black males; one was armed.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    At Oakland and Belmont, the male victim, 52, was was standing outside when he heard shots fired and then felt pain. The victim received a gunshot wound and was listed in temporary serious condition.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    In the 12000 block of Penrod, the male victim, 36, answered a knock at the door. The suspect produced a weapon and fired a shot striking the victim in the body. The victim was listed in temporary serious condition.

    WANTED:

    Suspects #1-#2: Two black males; armed. No additioanl description.

    Suspect #3: Black female; armed. No additioanl description.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    In the 17200 block of E. Warren, the suspect entered a local retail store and demanded cash from the female victim, 27, (manager). The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amout of U. S. currency. The victim was not injured.

    WANTED:

    Suspect: Black male, 30s, 5โ€?-2โ€?, 130 lbs, small build, dark complexion, wearing a light blue baseball cap, black glasses, black jeans, black-red gym shoes and armed.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    In the 17300 block of Warrington, the male victim, 42 was talking to the suspect, who produced a weapon and fired a shot. The victim received a gunshot wound and listed in critical condition.

    Known Suspect #1: Black male, 17, 6โ€?-1โ€?, 170 lbs, dark complexion, wearing a black and white shirt, black shorts and armed.

    In the 11600 block of Woodmont, the male victim, 22, approached the suspect to provide assistance, because he appeared to be injured. As the victim offered assistance, the suspect produced a weapon and fired shots. The victim was struck in the body and listed in good condition.

    Suspect: Black male, teens, dark complexion, wearing a black tee-shirt, black shorts and armed.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    At Yacama and E. Remington, the male victim, 34, was standing outside when the suspects drove by in a truck (blue, Trailblazer) and began firing shots. The victim received a gunshot wound and was listed in temporary serious condition.

    Sunday, 07/07/13  9:27 p.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    At Albany and E. Lantz, the male victims, ages 22 and 23, were involved in a verbal argument with the suspects at a basketball game that occurred earlier in the day. As the victims were leaving a conveience store, a van (tan, Dodge Caravan) pass by, and the suspect fired shots. The victims received gunshot wounds, and were listed in critical (22) and temporary serious condititons (23).

    Monday, 07/08/13   1:30 a.m.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    In the 13900 block of Cloverlawn, the male victim, 33 was parking his vehicle when the suspects approached and ordered him out of the car. The suspects escaped in the victimโ€?s vehicle (beige, 1995, Mercury Grand Marquis), along with his personal property. The victim was not injured.

    CIRCUMSTANCES:

    At Cherrylawn and Fenkell, the female victim, 22, was approached by the suspects, and demanded her vehicle (black, Chevy Trailblazer). One suspect escaped in the victimโ€?s vehicle (2005, silver, 4 door, Pontiac Grand Prix), along with her personal property . The vicitm was not injured.

    WANTED:

    Suspect #1: Black male, curly or nappy hair, and armed. No additioanl description.

    Suspects #2-3: Black males. No additioanl description.
