    Body Found: Missing Dollar Store Employee Brenna Machus’s Body Found

    Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad confirms that missing dollar store employee Brenna Machus’, 20, body has been found. Authorities discovered her body this afternoon in a wooded area near Michigan Avenue and the Southfield freeway after receiving a tip from a 911 call.  No suspects have been arrested at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

    Brenna Machus was kidnapped Monday night at a dollar store in Dearborn after her employee Joe Orlando was murdered execution style.

    According to Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad these two consumers could hold key information leading to the arrest of a suspect in the kidnap and murder of  Brenna Machus and Joe Orlando. Anyone with information is asked to call Dearborn police at 313-943-2241.

    The family of a 20 year old missing woman is offering a reward to anyone who can help them identify the person who murdered their daughter. Yesterday the family joined authorities as they made their plea for help to the community.

    “If you have heard anything, if you have seen anything please call crimestoppers or the Dearborn police,” pleaded Lisa Machus, the mother of missing Brenna Machus.”

    Brenna Machus was kidnapped Monday night from a dollar store in Dearborn while another Family Dollar worker Joe Orlando, 20, was shot and killed execution-style that same night around 7:30pm.

    Brenna’s mother, Lisa Machus, joined Brenna’s best friend, Jennifer Forte to say they hope for the woman’s safe return.

    “There are so many people that need Brenna,” said Lisa Machus.  “We love her and miss her and we want her home.”

    “She’s a loving friend, a loving daughter, niece, in-law, cousin,” said Forte. “Anybody and everybody who knows her needs her back in her life.”

    Surveillance video has been released by authorities in hopes that someone might identify the suspect. Police have also asked Michigan State Police and federal investigators to assist in the investigation.

    More than $11,000 in reward money is being offered for information that leads to finding Brenna Kathleen Machus.

    An additional reward of $2,500 is being offered for any information that might lead to the arrest of a suspect. There is an additional $1,000 reward if that arrest comes by midnight Wednesday.

    CRIME STOPPERS wants the public to know that tips can be anonymous.

    The Dearborn Police Chief is asking for two women who were shopping in the store between 7:25 and 7:35 p.m. Monday to come forward and help tell authorities about anything unusual they may have seen in the Family Dollar Store.

    Tuesday, 07/16/13 – 6:30 a.m.
    CIRCUMSTANCES:
    In the 18100 block of JoAnn, the female victim, 32, was exiting her car when she was approached by the suspects. Suspect #1 produced a weapon and robbed her. Both suspects escaped in the victim’s vehicle (silver, 2005, Dodge Magnum Station Wagon, with a dent in the bumper), along with her personal items. The victim was not injured.

    WANTED:
    Suspect #1: Black male, 30, 6’-1”, black, braided medium length hair, dark complexion, small build, wearing black pants, and armed.
    Suspect #2: Black male, 20s, medium brown complexion.

    Tuesday, 07/16/13 – 9:25 p.m.
    CIRCUMSTANCES:
    In the 14300 block of Wyoming, the male victim, 19, was driving when a car pulled along side his vehicle. The suspects in the occupied car, produced weapons and fired shots into the victim’s vehicle. He was struck in his body, and listed in critical condition.

    WANTED:
    Suspects #1-#2: Males and armed.

    Tuesday, 07/16/13 – 11:30 p.m.
    CIRCUMSTANCES:
    In the 5500 block of Allendale, the male victim (John Doe), was discovered lying on the street unresponsive. The victim has died. The circumstances pertaining to this incident are unknown at the time

    WANTED:
    Unknown Suspect: Armed.

    Tuesday 07/16/13 – 12:50 p.m.
    CIRCUMSTANCES:
    In the 15900 block of W. McNichols, the male victim, 19, was riding his bicycle when a vehicle (light colored, gray, Suburban, with an extended cab) pulled along side of him. The suspect produced a weapon and fired a shot from the vehicle, striking the victim in his body. He was listed in good condition.

    WANTED:
    Suspect: Black male, 20s, light complexion, hair braided in the direction to the back of his head, and armed.

    Wednesday, 07/17/13 – 1:30 a.m.
    CIRCUMSTANCES:
    In the 17200 block of Justine, the male victim, 24, received a gunshot wound to his body and refused to provide details to Detroit Police. The victim was listed in temporary serious condition.

    WANTED:
    Unknown Suspect: Armed.

    Wednesday, 07/17/13 – 2:40 a.m.
    CIRCUMSTANCES:
    In the 18500 block of W. Seven Mile Rd., the female victim, 25, was at a local gas station when she was approached by the suspects who robbed her. The suspects escaped in the victim’s vehicle (burgundy, 2001, 4-door, Pontiac Grand AM, with damages to the old front end and rear side quarter panel), along with an undisclosed amount of U.S currency and personal items. The victim was not injured.

    WANTED:
    Suspect #1: Black male, 20, 5’-7”, 130 lbs, dark complexion, small build, wearing a red sweater with a hood, and armed
    Suspect #2, and #3: Black males, 20’s. No additional description available at this time.
