The Detroit News – Rapper J. Cole has dedicated his new music video to Aiyana Stanley-Jones, the 7-year-old who was killed in a raid on Detroit’s east side in 2010.
Cole’s “Crooked Smile” video shows the parallel lives of a petty drug dealer, played by Cole, and a DEA agent. The two go on about their day, and meet at the end in a violent conflict that ends with the accidental shooting of Cole’s character’s daughter.
