If you turned your radio dial to 1200 AM WCHB any weekday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., you had the pleasure of listening to Your Voice with Angelo Henderson.  The shocking news of Angelo’s untimely death has left everyone with a very heavy heart.

Angelo Henderson was more than just a talk show host.  His impeccable resume featured employment as a print and broadcast journalist for over 24 years, Community Activist, most notably the founder of Detroit 300, ordained in Ministry by Dr. Charles Adams in 2003, and a Pulitzer Prize winner.

Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano said, “Angelo was always very welcoming when I was invited to his show.  He could be a tough interviewer, but that’s what made him so good.  He stayed focused on issues.  It was never a personal attack.  Angelo’s professionalism in our local media will be sorely missed.”

Angelo is survived by his wife Felicia, son Grant and a countless number of friends.  “I am sure I speak for everyone in Wayne County in offering our heartfelt condolences to Felicia, Grant and the entire WCHB family.  You will be in our thoughts and prayers,” Ficano added.

Rest In Peace Angelo.  We will miss you.
