‘PLAY IT FORWARD’ INITIATIVE / CELEBRITY WEEKEND

The LaMarr Woodley Foundation ‘Play It Forward’ Initiative is designed with the mission of supporting student-athletes whose families may be struggling with pay-to-participate fees. Many school districts across the country are in crisis with recent budget cuts, and consequently, have been forced to impose athletic and other extra-curricular activity fees onto individual students and their families. The ‘Play It Forward’ Initiative will reduce the burden of these pay-to-participate fees for Saginaw families, whose children may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in organized athletics.

“If there would have been pay-to-participate fees when I was a student at Saginaw High,

there’s a good chance I never would have had the opportunity to play football.”
